  • Thank you, @sasha_compere (Uncorked, Single Drunk Female), for speaking with me about the stunning new film, @dreamsinnightmares, @holdingspacewithtracy LIVE. I loved this conversation about a film for our times.

Writer/director @ShataraMichelle Ford’s sophomore feature re-imagines the road trip for three Black queer friends navigating modern-day America.

The Gilded Age’s @deneebenton plays Z, who, after a layoff, joins friends Lauren (Dezi Bing) and Tasha (Single Drunk Female star Sasha Compère) on an odyssey to find their friend Kel (@mars_the_mantis), who’s off the grid.

Mysticism and joy are interspersed with the stark reality of traveling while Black and queer in America. Queer actors Jasmin Savoy Brown, Charlie Barnett, and Molly Bernard also star.

DREAMS IN NIGHTMARES is in theaters now.
